Education

Republicans are in favor of improving Middletown's Educational System to become a world-class system in which all students can reach their potential. This can be done economically, without the intrusion of State and Federal Government Grants. Grants will always have strings attached and excellent education requires freedom for teachers to teach, safety in schools, predictability in educational processes and inclusion of Parents for student success in their future endeavors beyond the classroom,

Family Friendly

Republicans are in favor of A Family Friendly Community with safe and secure streets, a financially stable municipal government, thriving infrastructures and amenities. This means, controlling crime, homelessness, safe secure schools and excellent parks and well-maintained roads. Republicans are for filling-the-potholes and facilitating safety in schools and on streets

Public Safety

Police Department
The Middletown Republican Party firmly supports the mission of the Middletown Police Department who proudly serve in partnership with the community through a commitment to excellence, professionalism and integrity.
The Middletown Police Department covers 42 square miles and a population of approximately 47,000 people. The Police Department consists of 114 sworn officers and 25 civilian full time and part time personnel.
Fire Department
The Middletown Republican Party supports the 3 Fire Departments that Protect Middletown (Middletown Fire Department, South Fire District, Westfield Fire District). Their mission is to enhance the quality of life in the community by preventing or minimizing injury and the loss of life or property from fire, medical or other emergencies that may occur within the jurisdictional boundaries of the area we serve.
Public Works Department
The Middletown Republican Party supports the all-important effort of The Public Works. This Department oversees operations and is responsible for City owned plants, facility & grounds along with the services & equipment necessary for their continued upkeep. The Department supervises the inspection of all structures, planning, surveying, constructing, and reconstructing, altering, paving, repairing, maintaining, cleaning, lighting, and inspecting of highways, sidewalks, curbs, and other public improvements and City buildings. This Department is essential to the Quality of Life of Middletown Citizens.

Republicans envision a government that trusts the people of Middletown to make their own choices for themselves and their families. We believe in the idea that Local and State government is beholden to the people and needs to get out of the individuals way.
Coming from all walks of life, Republicans are unified in a commitment to create a thriving and affordable community, where kids can succeed, adults can make decisions for themselves, and our senior population is respected and cared for. Republicans have faith in the individual citizen’s judgment, and we have determination to help them make their own decisions that are best for them, their families, and the community. This means returning to the people and the State, the control that belongs to them
